We've all heard of antioxidants and their health benefits: they are implicated in the prevention of, among others, cancer, cardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment, immune dysfunction, Alzheimer's, etc. What you may not know is that for people who eat a standard Western diet, coffee is the largest source of antioxidants. In fact, studies have shown that people get more antioxidants from coffee daily than from fruit and vegetables combined!
